The ethylene industry has achieved a "zero breakthrough" in the completion and operation of a million ton ethylene refining project

The commissioning of the project marks a "zero breakthrough" in the ethylene industry, which can drive the development of downstream industries exceeding 100 billion yuan after being put into operation, and effectively help the construction of the free trade port.

The environmental protection indicators of the project have reached the international advanced level. The project invested 22.14 billion yuan to build high-standard supporting environmental protection facilities, and applied advanced safety and environmental protection production technologies and devices. At the same time, in the process of project construction, great attention was paid to the protection of local historical heritage such as ancient trees and ancient wells, and a total of 220 ancient trees were protected, with the longest age reaching <> years, so as to achieve the harmonious symbiosis of ancient trees and ancient wells and new ethylene, the integration of industrial civilization and history and culture, and the harmonious unity of petrochemical installations and blue water and blue sky.

Ethylene is known as the "mother of the petrochemical industry", and more than 70% of the basic organic chemical raw materials come from ethylene plants. The project is a key project of Hainan Province and Sinopec, mainly including 100 million tons/year ethylene cracking plant and 10 sets of downstream chemical plants, with a total investment of more than 286.<> billion yuan, and more than <>,<> people have been employed during the project construction period.

The project uses a number of technologies independently developed by Sinopec, and the design economic indicators are at the international advanced level. The 100 million tons/year ethylene plant adopts the million-ton ethylene complete set technology independently developed by Sinopec, of which the cracking furnace adopts Sinopec CBL technology and the separation process adopts Sinopec's low-energy ethylene separation technology (LECT). Compared with the similar technology of other foreign patentors, Sinopec's million-ton ethylene complete set technology integrates advanced unit technology and carries out comprehensive optimization and utilization of the whole process energy, which has the characteristics of simple process, convenient operation, safety and stability, investment saving, etc., and the key technical and economic indicators are at the international advanced level. At the same time, in this plant, by optimizing the raw material and process scheme, the flexibility of raw materials and the adaptability of the device are increased, and the overall benefit is optimized.

Innovative construction methods were implemented, and a number of projects reached records. In view of the difficulties such as large project scale, high difficulty in construction and installation, and tight construction period, the construction unit systematically implemented measures and innovative construction methods such as factory prefabrication, modular construction, and mechanized operation, of which 111 large tower lifting was completed in 82 days, 4000,1-ton crane was lifted from the first equipment to the withdrawal in only 40 days, and the monthly welding volume during the peak period was as high as 80,2 inches, all of which set new records for similar projects; The polypropylene (STPP) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plants achieved successful commissioning and start-up less than <> months after the CCP, creating a new level of high-speed construction and high-quality CCCC for similar projects in the system.
