To do a good job, one must first sharpen one's tools. Recently, the Institute of Geographic Information successfully introduced a domestically leading aerial photogrammetry system. After expert test flights and inspections, the equipment has smoothly passed acceptance and is about to be put into use.
It is reported that this aerial photogrammetry system consists of a medium-sized vertical takeoff and landing fixed-wing drone equipped with a 510 million-pixel aerial camera, a 300 million-pixel oblique photography camera, and a 100 million-pixel nadir camera. It not only has the advantages of high precision, high definition, and high efficiency in all aspects but is also portable and widely used in smart cities, urban planning, agricultural and forestry management, environmental monitoring, inspection and reconnaissance, cultural relic protection, and other fields. This time, the Institute of Geographic Information introduced this aerial photogrammetry system in a timely manner according to the relevant requirements of the "14th Five-Year Plan for Basic Surveying and Mapping in Hunan Province." This is not only an inevitable requirement to follow industry development trends and actively promote industrial upgrading but also an important measure to implement the spirit of the Provincial Geological Institute's high-quality development promotion conference, cultivating and strengthening new quality productivity with high-tech advanced equipment and enhancing core competitiveness.
Next, the Institute of Geographic Information will unswervingly implement the Provincial Geological Institute's "One Body, Two Wings, Three Supports" development strategy, continuously improve equipment capabilities and technical levels, take practical actions to support the high-quality development of the local economy and society, continuously promote brand cultivation and upgrading, and add luster to the "Hunan Geographic Information" brand.
